Reserve Bank Of India launching a new 350Rs. coin. In this post, I will discuss launching date and look of the 350Rs. coin in detail.

When RBI announced that it will release 10 RS. coin but many people didn’t believe in that announcement. But RBI has done which said, now RBI is set to roll out a coin of Rs 350 denomination to mark the 350th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. It will be in the market on Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

The circumference of the coin will be 44 millimeters, and a coin will be made up of Quaternary Alloy- Silver (50 percent), Copper (40 percent), Nickel (05 percent), and Zinc (05 percent).
Design of 350 Rs. coin:

The front face of the coin will have ‘Ashoka Pillar’engraved on it. This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with legend “Satyamev jayate” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “Bharat” in the Devanagari script and on the right periphery with the word “INDIA” in English and it shall also bear the Rupee Symbol and denominational value “50” in international Numerals below the Lion Capital,”said RBI in its notification. The reverse face of the coin will have a picture of ‘Takht Shri Harimandir Ji Patana sahib”.

“This face of the coin shall bear the picture of “Takht Shari Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib” in the center in Devanagari in the picture. The inscription “350th Prakash Utsav Of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji” shall be written in Devanagari script on the upper periphery and in the English Language on the lower periphery of the coin. The year “1666” and 2016 in international numerals shall be flanked on the left and right periphery of the coin, ” notification by RBO”.

If we talking about the weight of the 350 rs. coin, it also said that the weight of the coin could vary from 34.65 grams to 35.35 grams. The RBI has not stated the exact number of coins to be minted. This may be a limited edition coin.
